Fiesta De Amor – collaboration with Skinny Love Weddings Pt 1

I’m always thrilled to be asked to collaborate with fantastic people so when the team at Skinny Love Weddings got in touch of course I said Yes! Then to find out they were planning a bright, colourful, bold Fiesta day of weddings – well you can imagine my excitement.

I was lucky enough to supply both stationery and decor items for the day so both Love Ideas Ink and Wink were in the action!

Here are a few snaps from the day of the Love Ideas Ink wedding stationery taken in style by the always fabulous Natalie Morgan Photography.

Shop Update

maternity-leave

I’ve been busy working on a little project this year which I’m very excited about! My first baby is due any day now so in preparation I’ve closed my shops to have a little time with the new cutie. I’m hoping to be back in 2017 with all my normal shop products – Wink and Love Ideas Ink – but in the meantime you can still shop the Black Dot shop (open 24 hours on Etsy) and I’m adding some printables and e-books to the Love Ideas Ink shop.

In the meantime I’ll be posting on Instagram and I have a few blog posts lined up as well.

Instagram love – May

A Little Bright - Instagram May

Even though it has been a bit quiet round here I still love the Instagram format and ability to connect with new creatives. Here are a couple of snaps from my recent posts:

1. Along with everyone else who bought my 2016 calendar I love flipping over the pages to see what is next! 2. I had to take a snap of these sweet glitter toppers before sending them off to a customer – they are one of my favourites! 3. Even though it is getting colder I’m still trying to get out for a walk as often as I can. 4. My daily essentials – tablet and glasses.

This year is rapidly coming to a close and it is busy around here which is a great thing of course. Christmas sales online and at markets keep me going through the holidays and I am always super grateful for the increase in business around this time.

I wanted to give you a little something for staying around with me this year – it has been a tough year but I am excited about what is coming next of course. I hope you have lots of things to be grateful for and celebrate this coming holiday season and remember the little things are always the best.

A Kiwi Christmas with Felt

Felt-Cover

The amazing team at Felt have put together their always impressive and inspiring 2015 Christmas Catalogue and I am thrilled to bits to say that my Kiwi Christmas card made the cover!

I always look forward to reading this gem of a catalogue and other pages they’ve put together to discover new talents, great gift ideas and NZ makers and creators to follow and this year is no exception. We’d love you to #shopsmall and #shoplocal this year and if you are in New Zealand this is a great way to do it.

New things #2 – Love Ideas Ink

New things header

I’m busy working on all the new Love Ideas Ink lines for Christmas this year and I can easily say one of my all time favourite new products are these gorgeous ceramic mugs with my hand lettering on them.

I have loved hand lettering for aaaages (see my Instagram feed for proof!) but was struggling with feeling confident about my own lettering.

A Little Bright - new things 2 mugs

I’ve been working on some lovely custom wedding suites though which prominently feature hand lettering and the feedback was so positive I decided to have a little faith in myself as well!

So my new range of ceramic mugs feature a couple of different hand lettered slogans such as “just breathe” and “hello gorgeous” and I am in love!

These will be available for sale in the Etsy shop very shortly!!
